It has been cloudy & windy but it has not dampened the spirit. Cloudy this am but the sea looks calmer. Anne's hammock appears to be ready & Iggy has moved so he can be close. We have a large crab hermit living under our step & it comes out after dark, sure hope I don't step on him. Computer dying, gotta run. See you Sun Anne.

We have noticed some changes for the better, ie we have not seen folks feeding the fish bread, several were gathered taking photos of the coati & nobody was feeding them, not near as much garbage around the loungers on the beach & glass glasses are placed in the containers along the walk ways. Also new pillows. Congratulations to the Palladium staff.

How do you learn Spanish?

I just got off of the phone to Javier and Lola of AGI and paid our transport fee.  I felt like a fool not even knowing how to say his name.  I don't hear Spanish being spoken here, and the most I hear,  I am embarrassed to say,  is Dora.  I didn't realize that the J's are actually H sounds. Do they generally say their words faster or slower, if I attempt to say something?

I want to learn something before I go (there is a home ec teacher at kids school that I plan to ask if she can be so kind to teach me some basic things, IF she has time. I will ask Thurs).  I dont' want to be the niave tourist that can't speak anything even if I know that the majority speak some English.  Soooo, where did you learn to speak spanish????  

I would also like to know how to write out a few things such as:

More towels please.

More water please

Thankyou for all your hard work.  We appreciate it.

More toilet paper please.

We are just as thrilled to be here for our 6th visit as we were on our 1st. Cloudy but a light breeze so perfect. We booked a Mayan suite & located in 3507 & received a very warm welcome from Arely & Wilson.

Grand Palladium renewed the Distinctive H certification

Hello everyone,

I'm glad to announce that we have just renewed our Distinctive H certification for this year(compliance with the highest standards of food service practice in the tourism industry). This award provides distinguished recognition to hotel service providers in México who demonstrate exceptional quality and safety in food preparation, handling, and services.

We obtained a compliance of 100% in the critical aspects and 99,17% in the non critical aspects.

This was the perfect finish to a busy month in which we also had the Air Transat inspection in which we obtained the "Blue qualification" which is the highest score they use to evaluate hotels.

These are very good news and we are very proud of our staff that made this possible.
