They had the "sensible" shoes on the left side of the store and the "pretty" shoes on the right.Unfortunatley I gravitated to the right! Didn't buy anything yet as I really need to cave in and buy "sensible" shoes.

Are these sensible walking shoes Anne or fancy evening shoes? No more blisters I hope! The weight limit the airlines impose is just hard on us shoe lovers!

Got confirmation from Javier and found a new shoe store today!! Also need a new bathing suit - any ideas for on-line sites.I often use Lands End but I didn't find much on that site this time around.

Thanks for the info! I think hubby wants to stop for some snacks so Centro Maya sounds like it would work out best. I would love to buy some diet dew but doesn't sound like it is sold in Mexico!

Kitkat, the name of the mall is Centro Maya and here is a write up on what Soriana carries...it would be easier to get in and out of than Wal-mart, I think. http://www.playamayanews.com/playa_del_carmen/soriana_opens_in_playa_del_carmen.html

This article is very old as the mall seems to be quite full of stuff.

Hey kitkat! What does your husband want to stop for? There is a really big mall on the right side of the highway that carries probably everything and it means you don't have to get on the left side of the highway. We stopped there on our way to the airport for some tequila. Our driver, Elmer, came in with us and helped us find what we needed.

We travel next week: March 16-21. This will be our first time using the AGI transfer. My husband wants to stop at Walmart but I want to get to the resort!
