The Akumal Library is a wonderful grassroots organization that reaches out to children and adults in the community, providing them with tools to improve their language & literacy skills. The library is totally supported by tourist donations. Check their site to learn how you can help. There is a "wish list" on their blog. Also, check back later in the week. The library will be raffling off a work of art. The raffle will be held under the webcam at Lo Ha on the beach in April.....

If you are going to Akumal snorkeling, the library is a little blue building on the left on the way to the beach. Stop by for some inspiration!
